Hello my people, I'm brazilian guy so please forgive all the incoming mistakes. So, I just bought BF3 and sadly I can't play it on High Quality. I believe it's due to bad graphic card but I'd like to read someone's else opinion since I'm not really into this computer thing. Here's my system information, in case the prob is not related to the graphic card solely:
Windows 7 64-bit SP1
Intel Core i5-2310 CPU @ 2.90GHz
4GB RAM
AMD RADEON HD 6450

Just to let it clear, I know nothing about what I just wrote, but if you need further info just let me know and I'll find out how to provide them to you.

So, what card should I buy?

Yes, your graphics card is a home theatre (HTPC) card, not really suitable for games. What you should get depends on your power supply (brand and model, not just wattage), and the size of your case (to see if you are limited to low-profile cards).

as firo said, it would be helpful to know a PSU, and a budget always helps too.

Ok, I'll take a look at it right now. As for my budget, I can't tell you an exact quantity since prices are certainly different from your country (certainly higher here).

Ok, that's a 460W PSU. Dell PSUs aren't great, but they aren't junk. You should be able to run any card that has not more than a single PCIe power connector on it, such as a GTX650 Ti Boost Edition or a HD7850.

HardOCP found that both the HD7850 and the GTX650Ti Boost could play games with identical settings, but they said the GTX650Ti Boost offered a slightly better experience. In many areas (hopefully yours too), the GTX is also cheaper, making it a bang/buck winner, EXCEPT that the HD7850 comes with some free games right now. If you are interested in those games, the HD7850 may be the better choice.
