Hello, recently I bought a gaming laptop and I am now looking for a good solid mouse and mouse pad. I am looking for a mouse that is very sturdy yet not terribly big or expensive. I have looked into steelseries some but I have no idea of the durability. I am also looking for a mouse pad that would track well yet is very small, and could fit on half the keyboard of a 15 inch laptop. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and I forgot to add in that I will probably be playing a lot of fps games with it, so it needs to track rather good. And don't suggest Razer mice because they tend to not be as sturdy.

if you want small and portable...

the logitech m505

its a medium sized travel sized mouse. i use it with my laptop since i hate trackpads. i have used it before to play some rpg games but for any serious gaming you may want a larger mouse few a few extra functions. i will have to say though that it does work rather well. if you wanted something larger i would suggest something from logitech again. if you dont mind wired mice you could use an older style razer deathadder (the one with the blue backlight) but this is a full sized mouse. i've seen the m505 for about $13 and the deathadder for $40

as far as a mousepad is concerned just buy one of the thicker cloth foamrubber mousepads in black. honestly you cannot beat them. so called hard gaming mats are a complete waste of money and actually wear out your mouse quicker. should be around $5

i would say go with the m505 + cloth mousepad for about $20. hard to beat that as a travel combo for the price.
