1440x900 vs 1920x1080?

I have been using this monitor for the past 3 years and i must say it's quite a good one. http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Hanns-G-HW191A-19-inch-Widescreen-LCD-Monitor-Refurbished/4777687/product.html

I will be getting an 7950 and i'm thinking of buying also a monitor at the end of the summer. Is it gonna be a big difference? 1440x900 looks nice to me.

You will be absolutely blown away by the difference, especially if you go with about a 24" monitor. Just make sure you get a good quality monitor. LED Back-lit, if you can afford it get an IPS panel, No slower than 5ms response time, 2ms preferred. It'll be a massive improvement. 1440x900 is about the same as the old 1280 resolution many years ago. The downside is that you'll notice that DVD quality now sucks.

I will be at 100euros for budget,can't afford to pay more after 7950. Can i get any good ones at that price?

the difference is significant, I remember upgrading from a 19"1440x900 to a 1080p 23 inch Samsung, it was like someone cranked up the image quality settings in the game. you could now see all the details. I would even go as far as spending a little more on the monitor and then just settle for a 7870, which is fine for 1080p.

It looks like the best you will get for that price is the "Hanns-G HL249DPB" which actually looks like a great monitor. 100 euros = about 133 USD, which is right about where that one is priced. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254092

That is an absolutely fantastic monitor at a great price. Its a little smaller than I would use, but its great quality. Personally I went from a 19" Dell monitor to a 22" 1080p vizio TV to the 24" Asus I have now, and honestly, I would not go back to one the size of the 22". It doesnt seem like that big of a difference on paper, but its really quite substantial. How much does the 24 inch version cost? Its model would be S24B350H.

im actually not a fan of LED monitors. Maybe go into a store where they have a few monitors on display and check them out.

Why would you not like LED monitors? They look far better than a standard LCD and use far less power. The only better alternative is IPS, which for one of a decent refresh rate costs 4x as much as LED, and his budget is WAY too low for IPS.
