This is my first build. Are there any improvements I can make? Are there any cheaper parts that I can use to bring down the cost? Trying to keep this under the $500 mark.

For $5 less you can get a phenom II x4 965 which will fit in the same socket and is a good amount better.

edit:
beat to it, slomo's build looks better for gaming.
