I am looking to upgrade my graphics card. You can find my current build below. I want a high-end card that'll be able to run modern games, and potentially even some of those next-gen games shown at E3 at high/max settings. I'd really like to stay within the $450 range. Immediately, that greatly reduces the amount of cards I must choose from. I've narrowed it down to the GTX 770 2GB and the HD 7970 3GB GHz Edition. The 770 is priced at $400, while the 7970 is priced at $390 ($370 after the rebate) and includes four great games. I've scoured the Internet and could not find a chart that showed these two cards' performance in games. If any of you could link one, that'd be extremely helpful. I do know, however, that the 770, in most cases, slightly outperforms the 7970. I'm not sure if this is the case with the GHz edition. Which card would you suggest?

I would overclock the card, no matter of which I purchase, which brings me on to the next question. Would my 650W power supply suffice for an overclocked 770 or 7970?

Another one of my concerns is the actual hardware used in both of these cards. The 7970 was released last year and the 770 was released this year, but according to Supernova1138, it's a "rebadged GTX 680 from last year with a factory overclock put on it." This made me consider waiting for the next generation of cards: Maxwell and whatever AMD decided to call theirs. Is it safe to assume that they'd be priced around $400 and provide an increase in performance that's worth waiting for?

Lastly (for now), what models of the 770 and 7970 GHz edition would you recommend? I've heard good things from both Sapphire and Galaxy, as well as Asus and Gigabyte. Are the linked models good choices?

GTX 770: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CYRVM4A/ref=gno_cart_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

HD 7970: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202001&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

I figured this is all that really matters in regards to the topic.
CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 @3.1GHz
GPU: GTX 460 1GB
PSU: Corsair TX650
Mobo: MSI P67A-G45

Thanks in advance,
Will

Alright. Are the models I linked good choices? What do you recommend in terms of manufacturers?
