Hi, I bought a Cisco Catalyst 2900 switch because all I saw on ebay was "24-port" and "$29" I need a good amount of ports for my LAN party, because a 4 port router wont cut it and now that I got the switch I have no clue how to use it, I plugged in a cable from the router to the console port (had no clue what the was for) and random ports in the front that were all the same to test, but no avail nothing would connect to it and all the ports flash random colors all the time and when I plugged a computer in nothing showed up just "network cable unplugged" which made me mad, and no one on my old thread would help.... so i need to get that switch to connect a bunch of players and have internet access (oh and my router got screwed up a few months ago, 192.168.1.1 doesn't give me access to settings any more and I think it got set to static-ip somehow if that helps)

that's too bad, I' don't have to much time to figure out the switch, there's no quick'n easy way of doing, my only other option would be silly and might not work, 2 routers and a hub..... should I try and gey an easyer switch, i need the 24 ports though, now i'm kinda bumbed.....
