I know there are already quite a few threads opened for this specific topic but I just wanted to get a final opinion on which card to buy between the gtx 660 or the radeon 7870. I do not plan on overclocking much in the near future. And i have two available pci e slots. I am under a budget so for now crossfire or sli are not likely either.

My system is:
windows 8 64 bit
intel i7 3770
16 gb ddr3 Ram
and a crappy 500 watt psu (which I will be upgrading before i get the card also. suggestions accepted)

I already have quite a few of the games offered in the amd bundle so that will not be affecting my card decision too much.

660 is slightly cheaper, 7870 is slightly faster. 660 has PhysX and is NVidia offers good dual card performance for later upgrades, 7870 has no PhysX and AMD's crossfire is poor for multi-gpu performance (stuttering, dropped frames etc), but is a great single card.

Thank you, and as for a budget i didn't want to spend much more than $200 on the card alone but I am willing to spend up to around $250 if I was convinced it would give me a better card for the money. For the psu I would buy again whatever I could for the cheapest that had supple power (still being reliable though)
