lga 1155 stock cooler on lga 775 board

is it possible......n how do i check if i have a lga 1155 cooler(stock) because it was pretty hard to get it on the board but it fit anyway....n is it bad to use this cooler

Does it mount solidly to the CPU? If so, then it should be ok.

According to Intel specs, hole spacing on Socket 775 is 72 mm, while the hole spacing on Socket 1155 and 1156 is 75 mm. The plastic clips MIGHT bend enough to attach the cooler, but I wouldn't trust it to hold up. Bent plastic can't be good.

i dont think its bent but it was a bit difficut to put it in but how do i check if it is a lga 1155 cooler
