I just spent about $2000 on a gaming rig centered around ASUS P8Z77-V Pro motherboard and i think there's a problem with the bios. Immediately after a shut down my computer powers back up. I've been searching the internet looking for a solution to this or even for someone with a similar problem so i can ask them their solution. It isn't a huge deal because i can still put the computer into hibernate over night but I'd still like to be able to turn off my computer and have it stay off. If anyone can help me please do. And yes, in the APM section of the bios everything is disabled. Also, even with ERP mode enabled it still auto-reboots. Parts are as follows.

ASUS P8Z77-V PRO Intel 7 Series Motherboard
Intel Core i7-3770 Processor
Corsair Vengeance Desktop Memory Kit (8GB, 2x4GB)
EVGA Geforce GTX 660 Video Card
WD Black 2TB Desktop Hard Drive
Asus 12x Blu-ray Burner SATA
Corsair Carbide Series Windowed Compact PC Gaming Case
Corsair Hydro Series H60 High Liquid/Water CPU Cooler
And a big sexy monitor ;)

I'm not sure if you found this in your searching, but here is an older thread with some relevant troubleshooting steps: http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/computer-will-...

That poster had different hardware of course but much of the troubleshooting recommended would be relevant to try here, particularly:
-see if unplugging power/reset buttons has any impact
-can also try unplugging any peripherals including mouse keyboard etc
-disabling auto restart in startup/recovery to expose a crash during shutdown
-disabling wake on lan

You can also check carefully for any possible shorts, even going as far as re-mounting the board in the case and re-mounting any video card ram etc. I have heard of people fixing this exact problem by taking apart and re-assembling the system.
