Ok, so I picked up a Corsair 128gb SSD today and I've got a fresh copy of Windows 7 installed. I just want to know how having an SSD and a HDD working together should appear. So, because I've been using my 1TB HDD and I've now got my OS on my SSD I'm left with my old OS on my HDD along with programs and such. Is the only thing I need to do create shortcuts from my HDD to on my desktop?

The idea of having an old OS and all my files and such on my old HDD seems... unorganised and wrong in a sense. I'm very OCD when it comes to all my file and program management.

Solution
The typical setup is to install the OS, software applications, utilities, and a few favorite games on the solid state drive. The hard disk drive is used for storing data files, photos, videos, movies, and more games. When you get tired of your favorite games you can swap them out for games on the hard drive.

Once your ssd is setup and running you can delete the duplicate OS, software applications, utilities, and games from the hard disk drive.
