So, I am buying a new budget gaming pc and I have choose all parts for it, and i would like to know which motherboard would better fit it.

The parts I choose were:

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 660 Twin Frozr III OC 2GB DDR5
CPU: i5-3570k
RAM: 2x4gb 1600MHz
CASE: Cooler Master k350

And I would want to buy a good motherboard for around not more than 80 euros.

I found a lot of motherboards in that price range like:

Asrock z77 Pro3
GigaByte GA-Z77-D3H
and others...

But I would like to listen to some advice's of more-well experienced people.

Thanks in advance! :)

Have you already purchased some of the components? Also, what is your total budget?

No I didn't bought any of the components, except for the ram and the psu, because they were from my last PC.

My budget is around under 600 euros, can't pass that.

What brand and model is the PSU and how old is it? Also, what is the speed, timing, and capacity of the ram?

Thanks for the hard work you put in.. really thanks.
But the problem is my budget. I can't pass the 600 euros budget mark.

I would love to make a build like that, would be awesome, but can't do it now.. just not enough money.

The PSU brand is a EuroTech Silent Pro 420w and I don't know how old it is, because it was an offer from a friend who had it and bought one better, so he gave it to me.

The Ram is http://www.kingston.com/en/memory/hyperx/blu/ ... 1600MHz.

My purpose is for gaming. The games I want to play go from Guild Wars 2, Battlefield 3, DotA 2...

Yeah, I made the maths and would stay at 650 euros with all, but changed the gpu, ram, case.

Thank you very much, its awesome, I am now really thinking about your advice...

Would you go really with that case instead of the k350? And my PSU needs and upgrade? And one more thing, in between the AMD and Intel, which one will be better, in terms of quality, price, etc.

For a £650 build, switch the above GPU to this one:

Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB Video Card (£228.95 @ Amazon UK)

Slightly. It also overclocks very well.

Hmmm ok... because i was watching some benchmarks and the gtx 660 beats the 7870 on games.

And would you go for the amd or the intel set up?

Certain titles perform better on AMD cards whereas others may perform better on nVidia.

I would personally go with the AMD build. I prefer to have multiple cores for multitasking and it would also be useful for future titles that utilize multiple cores. Since both the Xbox One and PS4 are now using the same jaguar 8 core APU, upcoming titles that are cross platform should start utilizing multiple threads to maximize performance.

Yeah, i think I will go for the i5 .. because i am not going to do a lot of multi-tasking, more gaming and a lot of it. lol

i would probably go with a mother board like that asus but its, like i said, out of my budget... but i will see if i can make some changes..

But just to know, witch motherboard will fit the first build I showed?

I want to play games like Guild Wars 2, Battlefield 3, DotA 2, like a lot of RPG's. Those are the kind of games i play the most, MMORPG'S, FPS and MOBA's.

You would be better off going with AMD and picking up a better GPU.

Consider this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor (£143.99 @ Aria PC)
CPU Cooler: Zalman CNPS10X Performa CPU Cooler (£21.55 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard (£62.98 @ Dabs)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£44.99 @ Aria PC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB Video Card (£274.99 @ Amazon UK)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case (£47.98 @ Dabs)
Power Supply: XFX ProSeries 450W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply (£36.18 @ Aria PC)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer (£12.99 @ Dabs)
Total: £645.65

The PSU isn't going to provide much overhead for overclocking so I would recommend the 550W if plan on overclocking and you can fit another £15 into your budget.

Hm, I was thinking about that... thank you, once again, for the patience and the help!

Just one thing, I will probably go for the i5-3570k, which mb you recommend from those: MSI Z77A-G43, Asrock z77 Pro3 or GigaByte GA-Z77-D3H

The GigaByte board is the best of the three. If you are going Intel, go with the Haswell build above.

I have been seeing some benchmarks and reviews from the amd fx-8350 and its not that far in performance from the i5-3570k, and its more cheaper and has more cores. I am now really undecided in between both of them...

But just a question, wasn't haswell giving some problems?

It doesn't overclock as well as Ivy and the performance gains are abysmal. But if you are planning a new build, the 1150 motherboards have great features and is worth going with haswell over ivy simply because of the board.
