I'm not sure if I have a problem or not.
I have had a difficult time getting a seagate 3TB drive to show as 3TB. I finally got it to work connected directly to my sata ports. I set the 2.2GB partition to gpt and the .75 partition to mbr and it recognized things correctly and seemed format and show up correctly.

But when I move the drive to my external enclosure it looks very odd in disk management. It shows the .75 partition still there.

I'm not sure if it's working correctly as a 3TB external drive. How do I get the drive to show up correctly?

Thanks!

I've been trying to get this to work but now I'm back where I began. My single 3TB drive shows up as 2 drives. in this screenshot it is disk 4 and disk 5. How do I make them the 1 disk that they really are? As the screenshot shows with my other 3TB drive it works fine so I don't think it's a driver issue of any kind.

It is a Rosewell RX35-AT-SU3. On the newegg website it says it handles 3TB drives. I can't find anything including firmware updates on the Rosewell website. I think you may be right though. I've tried all kinds of things, but based on being able to see it as a 3TB drive when it's directly attached internally and the fact that it shows up like this externally it seems like the enclosure doesn't support a single 3TB HDD. It would seem my choices are use it internally or look for a different enclosure.
