I am going to buy a new cpu i have two choice AMD FX-6300 or AMD A10-5800K with 7660D.(Both r priced same in INDIA)
I want to buy it purely for gaming
I hav NVIDIA Geforce GT520.
If i buy FX-6300 I will pair it with GT520
And if i buy A-10 5800K With 7660d i will discard the GT520...
Pls suggest which combo will be good??
I have no plans of buying a new graphic card.
And is FX-4100 same as 6300 which is a cheaper option??

The A10 is designed for really cheap gaming. It is supposed to be paired with fast RAM, not 1600 like most builds, rather 2133.

The 520 is pretty low but that's ok.

If you are buying for budget gaming then get a A10 + 2133 CAS11 RAM. Don't even use a GPU, it's not needed.

The fx-6300 is good, but then you need a more expensive GPU too. If you compare a A10-5800k + 2133 or 1866 RAM to a fx-6300 + 520; then the A10 will be better in gaming.

Get the a10 5800k since the gpu is better then the gt520.

The fx 6300 is a 6 core while the fx 4100 is a 4 core, the fx 6300 is way better because those extra cores and the better vishera(piledriver) architecture. the cpu of the a10 performs almost the same as the fx 4300(also vishera so better then the fx 4100)

As others have said go with the A-10 and faster ram (make sure your motherboard will support the speed of the ram though), the FX-4100 is much worse than the 6300, and if you went with either of those, you would need to buy a new graphics card to get the performance of the A-10.... Keep in mind, you will likely need to buy a new mother board unless you have a socket FM2 board already.

Thankyou for the informative answers.......I think i will go with A-1O, is there any heating problem with it??
And Will A-10 play the latest games? will it give a respectable fps?
Or do i hav to buy a graphic card in the near future...

I don't own an A10 myself but seeing the reviews of A10 yes it can play the latest games but of course you need to set it up correctly to get playable fps.

These are videos with great information about A10 that might help you(please do search them in youtube) :

AMD A10-5800K APU Review - video by Nicolas11x12TECHX

What i advise here is that you pair the A10-5800k with a high frequency ram somewhat around 1866mhz. :)

The A-10 isn't bad no. My girl-friend has a laptop with an A-10, although it has dual graphics so it is better than just integrated. The desktop A-10 should be powerful enough to play most games at decent framerates, however you will have to lower the resolution (maybe as low as 720p) and no higher than medium settings if you have fast enough ram. Either way it will out perform your gt-520 by far. The integrated graphics in the A-10 would be far superior to that, and your cpu would be good enough to handle most games out there.

Yeah i had a look at Intel i3 3220 but its a dual core......doesnt hav a bright future i guess..
M planning on taking FX-6300 pairing it up with Nvidia geforce GT520 2GB for the time-being and buy a AMD HD 7770 in the future.

That sounds like a good plan. In the future you could get a better cooler and then overclock the fx-6300.

For 720p, 7770 will be excellent.

I'm not sure of the prices in india, however here is a few things you might want to consider.

1) As far as performance of the 4300 and 6300. Get the 4300, the performance increase from the 6300 isn't worth 40.00. The 4300 is within about 5-6 frames per second of the 6300. The only reason to get the 6300 would be if you do stuff like video editing or other heavily multithreaded tasks

2) The FX 4350 in north america are only 10-15 more than the 4300, but would perform a bit better. I'm seeing about a 7% increase. If the price difference is the same for you (just 10-15 dollars more than the 4300) Then I'd recommend you get those. Otherwise stick with the 4300

You mentioned that you will be using this for gaming, I just want to fully check what would be the GPU that you will be pairing with your FX4300? if it is still the GT520, i doubt you'll get anywhere playing today's games. Believe me you'll get terrible FPS on the latest games available in the market, even games from the 2 years ago i doubt that GT520 will be able to play with the highest settings possible

There are test in this video that will show that these 2 CPU/APU will perform almost the same if you put a decent discrete graphics card http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_hps7TV4d0

I would choose AMD A10-5800k over an FX4300+GT520 all day.

Yeah i plan on pairing the fx-4300 with my GT520 coz i dont hav the budget to buy a new graphic card as i am changing the CPU, Motherboard and RAM so i cant afford it right now.....i was planning on buying a AMD HD 7770 but its not possible now....so u think a a10-5800k will do better and in the future can i buy a new graphic card and pair it up with it??

The GPU found in AMD-A10-5800k performs somewhat around 6570-6670, as long as you will pair it with a 1866mhz ram I'm not seeing any problems gaming wth respectable settings and fps.

In a year or two, I think you can save lots of money to get GTX650Ti Boost-GTX660Ti or HD7850 -HD7950 or any equivalent in the future.

get the FM2A75M-DGS because it has a few extra features and it doen't cost that much more.

If you do go A10 then get the highest speed RAM you can afford and don't get a GPU. If you compare a A10 + 6670 to a A10 + 2133 RAM, you'll see that RAM performs better.

The fx-4300 needs a good GPU to play games and can overclock if you do so in the future.
