Trave :
well in my display options(windows 7) there is a certain screen resolution which will not make black bars,(1440x900,1280x800 and 800x600).I just make my resolution the same with the game resolution, you know when you right click in desktop and there is a screen resolution option.
So quick question,do changing the desktop resolution the same with your game resolution make a better performance(fps)?
cause when i run heaven benchmark my score goes up,up to 20pts when I change my windows reso with the game.
,my total score is 6xx(with OC GPU and 1280x800 reso.)when in stock gpu and 1440x900 reso my score is only 350.
Your computer (mainly the CPU and GPU) can output only so mainly FRAMES PER SECOND. A movie has 24. For a video game, 60 is generally preferred for smooth motion (most monitors can output 60 Frames Per Second).
The HIGHER the resolution of the game, the LESS frame per second your computer can send to the monitor.
As I've said before, there are other factors like QUALITY (anti-aliasing, shadows etc.) that are also demanding and the higher they are the less frames per second you'll get.
I hope this answers your question.
