Hello all,

I got bored and I have BF: BC2 sitting on my computer, so I decided to try to use the PS3 controller to play, since I have the most hours for it on the PS3.

I have MotionJoy installed, which from what I hear and have experienced, it works great. However, while in game, if I try to look around (Right Joystick enabled), it will look up, down, left, and right as if I have my sensitivity at infinity. I tried defaulting in the controller setup on the game to the left stick, along with putting the sensitivity off and some dead zone, however I always have the same results.

I looked on a couple of other websites with threads, and youtube, but none give a solid answer and/or solution.

If anyone here knows a solution, please help. I feel I will do much better on Battlefield if I use the Controller. ^_^

While I don't have a solution to the PS3 controller, I do know one thing you can do: buy an XBOX controller (wired). I have an extra one if you want to take it off of my hands ;) Windows is ready with the drivers to support XBOX controllers (of course, it's all Microsoft) so that's always a last resort if you can't figure out why the PS3 controller is behaving so oddly. Also, have you tried asking on the forums for the software?

Thanks for the quick responses. I'm downloading that driver software now.

And as far as the Xbox controller goes, I would be happy to use it, but I just (no offence) hate Xbox.

The controllers are too ergonomically designed, I have to feel like I'm holding onto a controller. Plus I'm used to the PS3 one more and it fits in my hands better. Thanks for the advice though!

Read your link as an alternative to MotioninJoy sounder good, but then read this:
So far, what I gather from this is that you have to download the XInput-Wrapper-SCP-2.2.1.88.7z file, extract it, browse the files until you come across SCPFilterDriver.exe, run it as administrator, and install the drivers. My Dualshock 3 worked in emulators and such, albeit the D-Pad, L1 and L2 buttons would not work, which really disappointed me, because I wanted to use the Dualshock 3 D-Pad to play some games.
That is indeed a little disappointing :p However, you should try it out GOM3RPLY3R!

I'm in the same boat ;) After 4 XBOXs broke on me...I finally called it quits and am very, very, very happy with my PS3 and all it's exclusives, etc.! :D

Yeah ^_^

I actually just realized that this is a blue tooth driver software, which I don't have an adapter for. Motion Joy works great, its just Battlefield. It works on 18 wheels of steel just fine.

Yeah, there's two articles about it on Motioninjoy but there are no clear solutions, and the one solution that was given I tried but doesn't work. But the problem is, even if I barely touch the joystick, it just goes instantly up, down, left, or right. I've calibrated it too, doesn't make sense.

It works fine with other games, it's just Battlefield really.
