Power Button Doesn't Work

I can no longer shutdown my computer with my power button, I can force it down with it, but just pressing it won't initiate windows shutdown .-. This has started after I was messing with ram freqs, and is currently back at default. Any ideas? I'd rather not reformat(Thinking its OS corruption from a RAM OC)....
EDIT: I should mention that the reset button works, and that my power button is set to shutdown.

Not hardware related, completely software related, and I fixed it! Kinda .-. I did a "refresh" which people told me was like a repair install, what they didn't tell me is that is wipes most of your applications! Thank goodness we upgraded our internet a while ago, I wasn't looking forward to downloading about 100GB on a 5mb connection, we are on 50 now.
