That's a reasonable budget build, about what I currently recommend for the $500 range. Three issues pop out at me.

- 2x2 GB RAM is preferable to 1x4 GB RAM (otherwise, you can't take advantage of dual channel)

- It's kind of silly to buy a 250 GB hard drive for $50 when the same manufacturer and line's 1 TB hard drive is $10 more.

- You generally want to get the CX-500M over the CX-500 because the former is semi-modular and uses Japanese capacitors instead of lesser Samxon ones. The M is usually only a few dollars more and in fact, right now, Newegg has it with $25 in discounts, dropping it to $39.99 and free shipping.

If it did not, I would have said something. The CPU will work with the motherboard just fine.

If you can swing the $20-$30 for a Hyper 212 Evo or a Xigmatek Gaia, you can overclock a little more. They're better than stock fans, but it's not an absolutely necessity on what is a budget rig.

You will need to purchase an OS if you don't already have access to one.

My third rig has a 965 and can play those games. Now, you're not going to be at ultra or anything, but those games are playable and pretty.

Unless you have high-end speakers or a high-end headset and you have very good ears, the sound solutions on modern motherboards work just fine. And even if you did, on a budget system, the sound card that would be on your budget wouldn't be an upgrade from the one on the motherboard.
