How to prime a pump in a mineral oil computer

I guess just put in the oil and leave for a minute or two for the oil to make its way into the pump.
Getting it started, I imagine turning on the rig would do. Normally you would use the paperclip method to just turn on the PSU and have everything else disconnected, but I think in this situation the loop leaking isn't too much of a concern.
