I've run into some trouble while using AMD's AutoDetect. When I start it, a popup comes out and tells me that it cannot detect either my GPU or OS. It then proceeds to give me this: http://imgur.com/pNnxka4

I am running Windows 8 64bit and I'm using a Powercolor Radeon HD7870 Myst. If you require any additional info I beg you to ask and I'll do the best of my ability to reply as soon as possible.

Have you tried to install from the CD that came with the GPU.

Yes, I have. The installer confirmed that the driver was "successfully" installed, but it really just caused all sorts of weird problems. I couldn't view anything in the tray, my task bar was gone along with my clock, and all my shortcuts disappeared. I tried restarting my PC but it booted with a black screen.
