As per title,

Building a PC for my wife, need the best possible build utilizing 800 US minus the graphics card, case, opticals and SSD. Just need a PSU, Mobo, CPU and RAM.

Looking for a PC that has a great mobo for overclocking and SLI options (thinking the Asus Maximus Formula).

At least 8gb ram,

i5 4670k, preferably i7 4770k,

At least 650w PSU (modular)

Get yourself a 4770k if your wife does a lot of video editing or other muti tasking programs that requires hyper threading.

For just gaming or movie watching, 4670k is the better option.

Also. The Asrock Extreme 4 is the best valued board. It has SLI/ CrossFire and it's just a great board overall for the price.

Also if you're going to SLI get a 850 watts. just get a bronzed certified one from either corsair, xion, or any other reputable company and it should be fine.

Get yourself a Corsiar 2x4 GB 1600dmm RAM unless your wife does some really really intense muti tasking and video editing. In that case, you'll need a 16 GB

Based on that comment, I only agree with the 4670k and the Corsair Vengeance ram. I thought the new graphics cards only need a couple hundred watts @ load. I'm considering a 7950 (or 8950 if it's out on time) or the GTX 770 so I'm confident 750w will be fine.

Regarding motherboard. Surely there is something better than an Extreme4. I'm looking for something "high end"...

anyway, I'm looking for a list and prices. What would you recommend.

Thanks for your input, but I want something high end, not "best value for money". As I mentioned in my first comment, I'm looking for something like the Asus ROG Formula.

Also, I never use Gigabyte products.
