I have a custom Windows 8 machine that used to be able to connect to my network just fine. One day the internet stopped working, so I restarted the Motorola wireless router/modem.

After doing so, my computer has had a progressively harder time connecting to the network upon startup.

For the next few days, I would have to press the WPS button to get it working again. After a few days that stopped working, and the only way to get it to work was to run the network diagnostics tool. Shortly after, it started telling me I had to restart the router by unplugging it, waiting 10 seconds, and plugging it back in.

Now, even that solution doesn't seem to be working anymore. I'm running out of solutions, and each one seems to take longer than the next.

How can I restore my computer to the point where it can just pick up the network automatically?
