Hey all,

I have an i5-2550k and an Asus P8Z68-V LX Intel Z68 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard. I also have liquid cooling.

I've had my PC for about a year now and I'd like to overclock because I know that's basically what the K series is made for.

Only problem is I don't have a clue how. I'm also worried about messing something up or pushing the processor too far. If anyone could link me to some noob friendly fail-proof guides or just give me some tips I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd love to give my computer some added performance.

Read up on overclocking extensively before you perform any.

I researched and "studied" overclocking for weeks until I overclocked my CPU. As a result, I knew exactly what I was doing, which is good.

Overclocking is definitely something that should be fully understood before being done.

EDIT: Unfortunately, I don't know of any good guides for OC'ing a 2550k, but I bet there'll be one somewhere. Someone will point you in the right direction shortly, hopefully. Just make sure that you fully understand everything before doing it, or you might make a critical (and costly) mistake.
