I am previously a console gamer, but I'm making the switch to PC instead of buying a next gen. console. I need a build specifically for gaming only. I will not be using it for video editing or anything like that, just gaming. I also need a monitor, mouse/keyboard, and OS to be included in the price. If you can, use a quad-core processor (preferably Intel i5 3570k), 8GB of RAM, a heatsink fan for the cpu to keep it nice and cool and a pretty nice graphics card in the build. I would like to play games like BF4 on Ultra/High settings in the future and if you could, give me a build that will last me a 3-4 years! I'm not sure if I want to over-clock or not and I'm not sure how it improves the gaming experience, so if you could give some advice in that area that would be great! Also, I may be able to bump up the price 100-200 bucks if there is something I absolutely need. Thanks!

This is over budget, but you could reduce it by not getting a SSD. The build is designed for people that might overclock in the future. Overclocking is pretty easy, but some people don't want to. To each their own. Also, the RAM is 1866 not 1600, but it's at the same price as 1600; so why not? The case is one of the best on the market. It'll keep your system cool. Overall, this build will play BF3 on Ultra w/ 4xMSAA. It will play BF4 on High for sure.

Thanks! I'm just trying to gauge price ranges here. Could you give me the cheapest, yet good-quality build possible with the 3570k, 8GB of RAM and a decent graphics card? Try no SSD and a 19"-20" monitor. I was also thinking a 500GB hard drive but maybe I need 1TB. I just wanna see how low I can get the price while maintaining the CPU, GPU and RAM requirements.

Do you want a good gaming monitor (fast response time but colors are ok) or a good all around monitor (better colors and still fast)?

Also, most 19/20" monitors are 1600x900. Most 23/24" monitors are 1920x1080. I highly suggest 23/24". It looks better.

The price of a 1TB HDD is usually only $10-15 more than a 500GB. It's being safe.

Big places to save money: if you don't overclock your CPU and get a 3350p,H77 mobo, and no cooler: saves $70
Also, you could get a cheaper case. Save $20

I changed the monitor. It's really good and on sale ($120 with mail in rebate) until 17th. I almost bought this one myself.
