Can't find my drive, "unallocated"?!

So I've just finished my first build (Whoo!) and I did an SSD/HDD setup with windows 7 on the SSD. Everything's been good except for the fact that when I tried to install something onto the HDD, it wouldn't show up. I went to "my computer" and didn't see it there, so I went to Disk Management and saw a "Disk 1" which was the SSD and was marked "basic" and labeled as a primary partition, and a "Disk 0" also marked basic but marked "unallocated". The only things I've installed are the drivers for my hardware (literally finished the build today), so it's possible it wasn't formatted. What should I do, how do I do it, please help?

Solution
Yup, try formatting it in Disk management.

Edit: Right-click on the drive in Disk Management and you should see the option to format it.

Is that where it says "new simple volume"?
