So today I took my computer to my friends house and after starting it up I got a bios error saying that my ec/ec flash was corrupted. When the computer starts up it just displays that message and then turns the computer off after 15seconds. I tried to boot into the bios like it said but everytime I press the button to enter bios on startup it will not go into the bios no matter what I try.

I googled and researched the error to the best of my ability but everything I tried has not worked. I tried resetting the CMOS both by Pin and by removing the battery however nothing changed after. I also tried putting the most recent bios update onto a flash drive and inserting that into the computer before booting it up however that also yielded no results.

Any and all help is appreciated, I don't know too much about computers so you'll have to bare with me.

If the chip has gone bad. Contact asus if the chip can be replaced they may be able to send you a new one. Some bios chips with a USB or cd with the unzipped bios file can re cover the selfs. Check wich bios chip is used then look online for that bios recovery. Most time at power up it holding a set of keyboard keys down.
