Well my Thermalteke 850W Power supply is on its last leg.. THe -12v Rail is kaput and the +12v Rail is on its way out the door. ((Odd PSU, yes >_<))

I got a few years out of it so I can not complain so Im happy, its lasted my non stop gaming session so yay!

But, now that I have money save its time to replace the dang thing!

FOr reference

CPU: i7 3770k ((Stock Clocked for now))
CPU Cooler: Intel (Asrock) Sealed Liquid Cooling system, ((Product Advertising woooo!))
Mobo: Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
RAM: 16GB GSkill Sniper Series
GPU: MSI GTX 680 PE/OC ((Planned 780 upgrade in about 7 months))

Now I would prefer a PSU that is silent for themost part, like the Thermalteke one I have is/was! Would prefer wattage to be maybe 100 to 150 over what my computer will draw under full load. The reason being is to compensate for gradual Wattage loss when under continuous use, since I do SETI@H and F@H.

ANyways, Suggestions comments, boots to the head, leave em, Ill read em.

But please give reasons as to why you recommend said PSU, I may be tech Savvy but, blah I don't build em enough to know whats good and bad sadly.

That is a maybe, I am looking for something modular or Semi modular at least. This PSU will be going into a Mid Tower case, and cable Management is key for, the case is a Corsair C70.

But I will keep that in mind.

I just finished putting together a build for a friend a couple of weeks ago that was based on an Intel i7-3770K in a Corsair C70 case.

I used a Corsair HX650 in the build because I knew that this PSU's output cables would be long enough to reach all of the power connectors on the motherboard, especially the CPU power connector. I also knew this PSU would run quiet since it runs in fanless mode when its under low power draw. It has 80 PLUS Gold efficiency certification and it's made by Seasonic and has a 7 Year Warranty.

The HX750 seems to be a better deal after the mail-in rebate:
