I've tried a bunch of different combos in the BIOS. This is my 5th build and granted, 1TB is a lot of storage but I'm getting near the end of that and without reformatting the disk, I was wondering if there was a way to get BIOS to recognize the 2nd TB of diskspace. I'm running win7 Ultimate on an EVGA X58 SLI mobo. Any suggestions??
Thanks in advance.

You need to get an updated BIOS from EVGA and then you need to open "disk manager" (which you can find in Control Panel>System and security>admin tools>Computer management>Storage) and right click the disk and choose expand volume.
If this doesn't work I don't know what might but I would advise you to get a backup of your system, because other solution are likely going to require formatting.

May I wonder why you didn't originally worry that your 2TB disk only had 1TB of space?

I actually was quite distressed by that fact but figured that it was an issue with Windows not being able to recognize that size disk. Built this machine about 2 years ago and didn't think this particular bios supported that kind of memory yet. I know the disk is healthy...everything works perfectly...it's just that half the disk doesn't exist according to my bios. Just tried to expand and that's greyed out. Not an option.
Any other ideas?

Have you updated the bios from http://www.evga.com/support/download/ ?
