grab a radeon he 7750 .its a quite famous card and known for its price =performance ratio .it won't let you to play modern games on ultra settings at 1400*900 but med-high setting will be surely achievable .but hey anything above this card will be bottlenecked by your cpu and ram and won't be able to give its 100%.

and why is that a problem, he'll be able to use it in any upgraded rig. There will always be a bottle neck somewhere, and it will vary from game to game.

I don't really mind, as long as I can play any game with at least medium settings. Mainly games like Skyrim, Borderlands etc..

you should be able to play all modern games except crysis 3 on medium to high settings at good frame rates with radeon hd 7750.but if you're going to upgrade your rig in future then you should absolutely look for something above this .

P.S you should upgrade your rig. Both of these GPU's will be bottlenecked. My old core 2 duo 2.4 is bottlenecked by the HD7770 too
