Dear All,
I recently bought a Gigabyte 970a DS3 motherboard and an AMD FX 6100 processor for a new rig I'm assembling. Everything is connected and powering but I have a strange issue.

It takes around 6-8 minutes for the system to go into Boot! To explain, every time the system powers up, the display shows the Gigabyte BIOS logo for 6-8 minutes after-which I hear the POST confirmation beep. For this 6-8 minutes time, my hardware are not recognized (keyboard, mouse, pendrives, etc do not light up).

I thought it might be a problem with the BIOS. So, I upgraded the BIOS with @BIOS as well. To no avail. The problem still persists. But the hardware themselves are fine. I've checked everything except the motherboard and processor as I do not have another AMD motherboard to test with and vice versa.

Kindly help with any advice. Should I need to check the processor? But I've installed Windows 7 in it and once I get the beep, everything is fast and working fine. I even ran the Windows Performance index and got everything higher or equal to 7.2 except the hard disk which was 5.9 (normal for 7200rpm Seagate Barracuda).

Thanks
