3570k How high of an overclock is achievable with this cooler?

im currently buying a 3570k with asrock extreme 4 (if that matters)

and im buying a Phanteks- PH-TC14PE to overclock.

How high will i be able to overclock?

4.2-4.4 depending on luck and how hot you are willing to push it. it'll be basically the same on all decent air coolers.

This will depends on the 3570k you got also, since some of them are better for OC-ing than others, some are worse. But with this gigantic cooler and the Z77 Extreme4 motherboard, at least 4.8ghz is can be expected, since PH-TC14PE is almost equal with a Corsair H110 in cooling performance.

i was thinking an evo but the phanteks is on sale on scan.co.uk and i have a decent fractal case so i may as well go all out on my overclock:)

Go for the PH-TC14PE. You won't regret it. Unless you are using/are going to use RAM bars with tall heatsink.

That is the BEST air cooler on the market . Here's my FX8350 Setup.

FX8350 \ 5.1GHZ. \ 1.384 VOLTS



Phanteks PH-TC14PE with Scythe Slipstream 110 CFM fans attached.
