GPU Overheating Problem

My GPU is currently the Nvidia Geforce GT 210 1GB DDR3 edition with stock frequency of 589 MHz. I overclocked it one or two months ago to 650 MHz and it ran fine for a month and a half with all games running smoothly. Now, however, the monitor goes off while I am playing a game but the cpu keeps running and its light keeps glowing. Even if I put FIFA 13 on extremely low settings, the GPU overheats and goes off in 7-10 minutes. Using SpeedFan, I checked the temp- All the other temps are shown fine but the GPU shows these extraordinary readings: 80-90 degrees during normal use and excess of 100 degrees during gaming. I am planning on buying a new GPU but I thought it would be better to discuss about it. Any help?

if you are buying a new gpu no need to overthink this, buy a new gpu, clean ur pc from dust if its old, and everything should be fine.

make sure ur current pc wont bottleneck a new gpu, and remember to uninstall drivers and install new ones for ur new gpu.

So you think its good? Can you discuss about its performance in latest games like Far Cry 3, Arkham City, etc. ? And is there a better card in this price range?

you will maybe be able to run at low settings with pretty bad FPS.

i didnt imagine you were buying a gpu at this price range for games, dude, its 2013.

unless you really have no problem in playing games at lowest grapichs and get low fps + stutter.

Yeah, but strangely, latest games used to run fast (even before overclocking) like Arkham Asylum, Dishonored, Bioshock Infinite, AC Revelations, Brotherhood, etc. These games ran smoothly before I overclocked. Considering the fact that the 610 is way better than the 210 in all aspects, it will do no worse than performing even better. Maybe because I have a Core 2 Duo @ 2.53 GHz , 4GB RAM and a 17" monitor, the games will run smoothly. Last question: GT 610 or something better?
