My video card has a DVI port and a HDMI port. Would there be any issue connecting one monitor with the DVI and the other with the HDMI?

Nope - you should be good to go. If you're using Win7, the secondary monitor setup should be pretty plug and play. If the second screen doesn't come up or has the wrong resolution, check catalyst control center or you regular graphic properties screen.
