Hey guys, so I just finished my first build last night and I'm very pleased with it. I used the Cooler Master 922 HAF and a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo in the build, and after bringing my computer to life for the first time I noticed just how loud those fans were. Is there any way to quiet them down? Or should I replace them with other quieter fans?

If there connected to the mb. Go into Mb bios under fan set ups. Some bios like msi have temp profile. Some like asus have rpm profile. With asus fan profile set the low speed to 400 or off for the case fans. For the CPU fan set it to silent mode. If the heat sink on right and mb has good fan profile the fan should spin around 600 or less with light load. If the case fans are connected to power supply the cheap fix is a 7v resistor kit that slow the fans down. The other fix is a five or six channel fan controller for the case fans.

How do I set the cpu fan to silent mode? the only options I see in the BIOS are automatic, manual, and full-on, and then the target cpu temperature. And the case fans are connected to the psu with 4pin connectors, so I guess I'd have to buy a controller, right? Also, for future purchases, what fans should I replace the stock case fans with if I want a quieter computer?

Only thing connected to the mobo is the cpu fan, the Hyper 212 Evo, but the only options I see for that are the ones I mentioned before

Use hardware monitor and look at your CPU and gpu fan speed and temps.
With te CPU fan set to auto and target temp of 45 to 50c the CPU fan should be running around 800 to 1000 rpm. If the CPU temp sitting at 50 c or higher then the cooler not on right or you forgt the thermal paste. The case fan should be fine once you slow them down with a fan controller. Nxzt and skyth make low noise fans.
