Hi. As you know I own a GTX 550 Ti and I've connected my monitor through D-Sub port cuz it's CRT. But I think I'm having a little issues. As you know Remember Me is kinda light games based on DX9 but I have some framerate issues while I play at 1280x1024p@75 Hz with all graphical settings off. The game usually runs well but in (at?) some points it runs slowly (framerate lowers) for a very few secs. I just want to know that is this due to using D-Sub port (or even my monitor itself) or not? the additional info:
1. Metro: LL runs well at this resolution with 3x SSAA (very little issues)
2. I have ASUS GTX 550 Ti DirectCU TOP
3. I'm using EVGA Precision X to increase fan speed at certain temperatures
4. My monitor is really old (11 years old!) and sometime the screen becomes light yellow instead of pure white!!
I'm really mixed up. BTW I'm planning to buy a monitor but I really want to know the fact about D-sub and DVI. Any significant difference?

Splendid
Monitor or the connection used does not have any effect on the smoothness of the gameplay. Resolution does however, which indirectly depends on the monitor, but the monitor itself does not...

The yellow tint is sign that something is beginning to fail, when I was a kid we had one crt that went all pink/purple but it was fixed at a local repair shop and worked well for several years afterwards :)

DVI is easier to set up properly than d-sub and generally speaking you can get clearer picture when using DVI on modern lcds (partly because of the fine tuning needed on D-Sub).... also Dual-link DVI is needed for more extreme resolutions and refresh rates. Thou DisplayPort (DP in short) would be even better option, but monitors that have DP as well tend to be a bit more expensive.
