Hey everyone,

I've been having this problem for quite a while now, but have only just decided to try and take some action against it. Basically, what happens is that my laptop (Toshiba Satellite) crashes whenever I try to play a game, I am in game for a few minutes and then suddenly the screen goes black and completely shuts down (As in I then have to press the power button once to turn it back on). When I reboot, there are no error messages or anything (same with when it shuts down), however I did check the event log viewer, and I have found 3 logs which seem to correspond exactly with the error times. They are as follows:
Log Name: System
Source: EventLog
Date: 16/06/2013 19:12:05
Event ID: 6008
Task Category: None
Level: Error
Keywords: Classic
User: N/A
Computer: Gamemachine
Description:
The previous system shutdown at 19:10:57 on ‎16/‎06/‎2013 was unexpected.

That is all I have really, I have no idea what it could be. At first I thought it was overheating, but now I am not so sure. If anyone could give any help, then it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

Edit: While I am pretty sure that this is the correct log file, I will run a game until it crashes and then make sure that I have the correct log file. Will update in a little while.
Edit #2: I think the original log was completely wrong, this is the one (I think) that was created when it shut down.

Laptop with Windows 7 x32?
Disable Hibernate and sleep mode, only put in sleep mode manually without it having a timer set.
Don't have the adapter plugged in and turned on while the battery is fully charged.

Don't play high FPS games, the latptop is not designed for it.

Make and model would be helpful, any recent changes like ram or hdd?
