Hi, i've looked in all forums possible (at least i think) but i didn't find any solution:

Just got the monitor Asus PB278Q but when i try to connect it to my display port on my gtx580 i get no signal message, the video input on the monitor is correct, also the monitor works with hdmi cable but without 2560x1440 resolution.
The monitor doesn't even work in startup (bios etc..)

Any solution or any more information i can give to try solve the problem?

PS: I have no other display port devices on wich to try the monitor!

To display the full resolution of 2560*1440 (in the 27” models) or 2560*1600 (in the 30” models), you need a from Dual Link DVI Port on your graphics card - Single link ports are not enough to display anything past 1080p 60Hz.

These can have a variety of connectors including HDMI, Displayport and/ or Component as well as dual-link DVI (which all have). Please note that even if the seller claims that the monitor has 1.4 HDMI or Displayport, they many not necessarily be able to display the full 2560*1440/1600- even with display port, we are yet to confirm if it is actually possible to display this resolution on anything more than dual link DVI.

May be this is your problem.

Ok, i'll look for a dvi cable and keep you updated with what happens, in the meantime other suggestion are appreciated.
The strange thing is that the display port doesen't recive any input and gives no signal...
