I have 2 - 6770 Radeon Cards, 6GB of Ram, and upgraded from dual core E6300 to Q9550 quad core. Since then my screen is flickering, i tried different drives, playing with bios, but still the same old.

I have a 700W Chieftec power supply.

Anyone have an idea what could be the problem? Thanks

Are you using multiple monitors?

Are they connected to the correct/compatable adapters?

What kind of flickering is it? Is it fast, slow or does it constantly reset the monitors?

There was no driver change, or anything - only thing I did was change the CPU - prior no flickering.

Yes I am using 4 monitor setup, on dual video cards.

If you go back to the old CPU does the flickering persist?

Also, does your new CPU require its own power supply? IF it does, make sure that the connector from the PSU is hooked to the motherboard. It is usually a two or three pin connector located on the top left of the motherboard around the CPU region.

Does the flickering start immediately when the PC starts or when Windows loads?
