I am looking at getting the 770 because it's a cheap alternative to the Titan and 690 and can still run most games at high graphics and if i need to i can SLI/ or wait for their 800series to release next year. Anyone have any info that can help me with making sure this would be a great steup?

Overall, the 770 seems to be a slight improvement to the 680 at a lower price, so it's a great deal right now.

Alright, well i can give you what i have now. Budget really isn't a huge concern.
Case- thermaltake level 10 GT battle edition or so
GPU- Gtx-770 4gb
CPU- Haswell i7-4770k
PSU- XFX P1-850B-BEFX 850W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply
Motherboard- Still figuring out whether Asus or AsRock
Memory- Kingston HyperX predator
SSD- Samsung 840pro, OCZ vector, or Nuetron gtx
HHD- WD Black, Velociraptor
Monitor- i was looking for a decent IPS or PLS
I'll check out the case you prefer. I just like the futuristic and modular case that thermal offers.
Well all i really need for now is to fix any compatiblity issues i may have with what i chose. And size dimensions if they fit for the case i want. Also a compatible motherboard for everything. Asus and AsRock seem to be my best choices.. idk what board to choose though that offers the best feautures.

One thing you forgot was a cpu cooler. If you want to do liquid cooling, check out the corsair hydro H100i. If not, look at the noctua D14 or the phanteks PH-TC14PE.
Pretty much any cpu cooler will fit in a full tower case like the level 10 gt or the phantom 820, so there shouldn't be any compatibility issues with the cooler.
As for the motherboard, I'd definitely go asus if you're looking for a high end board. If not, the decision gets more difficult. What do you want to spend on it and do you ever see yourself doing more than 2-way sli?

Ok I'll check up on thoise 3 CPU coolers you just showed me. Case design is always picky for me. The Limited Edition Level 10s they made i miss...but i found that your Nzxt and StealthMachines makes good cases to.
I know a CPU heat sync and thermal paste is a must. Well i can spend upwards to 400 or so on a motherboard, but if i can find one thats cheaper and offers close to the same I'll go for that. I just know Asus seems to be adding a lot more protection/ plating to their boards lately. I will most likely be running a 2way SLI in the future, and i need a board with a 1150socket, and that's compatible with a Haswell CPU.

Normally the z87 sabertooth would be fine, but it doesn't support your memory's speeds natively, so I can't recommend it.
Instead, here are a couple awesome asus z87 motherboards that would be great for your system:

Checked out the Gamers Republic motherboard and you're right, it offers most the feautures especially the ones I'd need vs the professional work or so. Added it to my notes of which motherboard to def look at buying. Thanks for the info.
