Hello,
I've been playing online games for a pretty long time but recently I began having lag spikes.
Let me explain it more in depth:
- I start a simple game (Let's say a match of League of Legends)
- I play for a couple of minutes and out of nowhere, I get a ~3 second lag spike during which I cannot move but I can still see other players move.
Things I've tried:
-Resetting my router settings
-Connecting to the router using a cable instead of the wireless sensor in my laptop.
Reinstalling Windows
-Disabling any program that uses internet
-I also checked the networking tab in Task Manager(The green line has constant variations but they don't change when the spikes happen)
So yeah... Any ideas?
It's getting on my nerves when I randomly go in the enemy team and I can't do anything to stop...
Btw, I have a D-Link DIR 615 router and a HP Pavilion dv6 laptop, I am using a local ISP.
