Greetings gentlemen

I am looking at replacing my AMD A8-3850 with an FX-4100 CPU. I am into gaming and the cache of the 4100 is impressive a is the clock-speed and OC ability (not relevant, I do not overclock). I am running an HD 6670 GPU with the A8 in Crossfire (gives me two extra frames per second) at present and also hope to replace it later this year. My goal is to have good gaming PC that will play upcoming Battlefield 4 with impressive graphic settings. Is it worth the effort and money or should I just stay with the A8 and replace the GPU as planned or overhaul completely?
Please DO NOT suggest a phenom. They are extremely expensive and rare to find where I live.

Regards and hoping for an answer

Jonathan

An FX CPU would be a good upgrade, but not the 4100. the 4300 would be better.
You'd need to replace the motherboard though.

A GPU upgrade would be a better idea, since the 6670 isn't all too impressive. A 7850 would be good for you, I think.

I would suggest getting an upgrade with the FX.
You can not crossfire two different graphics cards so I also suggest that you get a card that is a little better, or you could buy another 6670 and CF with that.
Hope this help.

Why would the 4300 be better? The 4100 has a totel 12mb cache with an 8mb L3 and 2x2mb L2 cache?
