How to use a Fan controller

Hello!

For my new build I'm planning to get a fan controller to optimize my fan usage. I was looking into a NZXT Sentry-2 fan controller. My question is how will I be able to know how fast to have my fans running at what times? And what else do I need to know about using one of these?

I'm going to be using a HAF-X case which will have the front 230mm fan, the rear 140mm fan, the side 200mm fan, the top two 200mm fans, the VGA fan dock 120mm fan, and the VGA holder 80mm fan, also I'm going to cool the CPU with a Swiftech H220 with push and pull setup so that's 4 (i think?) more fans. So which fans should I include in the max of 5 fans on the controller?

Finally if I were to replace any of the fan blades, what would be the best recommendation?

Thanks!

All I can think of for knowing how fast they need to be running is having a display telling you what temperature the intake of your case is at. Some fan control panels have that kind of display. The NZXT Sentry-2 fan controller does actually have that display, so it shouldn't be too hard for you.

I suppose you want the fan control in order to make your PC more silent. If that is the case, I'd control the fans that make the most noise because your PC is always as silent as your most noisy component.

About changing the fans, I heard the Noctua fans were really good. Especially the NF-F12.

Awesome thanks for the info! So just for clarity what would you recommend to be the optimal temperature for the intake?

Thanks in advance!
