Newb question.. I want to wipe my SSD clean of all the junk that has accumulated in it since I installed it, except there are a couple files and programs on there I want to keep, like Windows 7 and skype and other things like that. How do I wipe the SSD without screwing up my OS, or is there a way to do it where I can back my OS up and then wipe the SSD, and proceed to restore my OS?

It is next to impossible to back up just the OS. Everything you've installed makes entries in the Registry and elsewhere.

So:
Save all your personal data that lives on that drive.
Uninstall everything you don't want.
CCleaner to remove any junk.
Make a backup of the resulting install.
Now install what you want, where you want.

If you ever need to go back, you have a (mostly) pristine Windows install saved elsewhere.

Uninstall any useless programs and delete any stored files then run CCleaner. Just leave the default program options.

http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

I have run it once a week or so for the last 3 years on my SSD and it usually deletes about a gigabyte of junk. It deletes temp files and the internet cache and junk like that.
