Was running 16gb fine. Upgraded to the full 32gb then PC failed to load operating system?

I reset bios to optimal settings. No joy. Eventual fix was to remove one stick of RAM taking the total down to 24gb. Runs fine now exept for occasional loss of POST beep ?

All slots are working fine to.

Any suggestions on how to get this to full 32gb and stable ?

System:
Win 7 Ultimate
Gigabyte GA-Z68-MA-D2H-B3 (v1.3)
i7 2770k
G.Skill RipjawsX Ram (x4 8gb sticks)
EVGA GTX 660 SC Graphics
Cooler Master GX 650 Watts

Solution
Your problem sounds like a faulty stick. Take the new sticks you got and test them. First test 1 stick in all slots, then test the other in all slots. Use memtest, preferably at least 3 passes per test.

If they all test fine, get back to us, I'm guess a MC voltage adjustment may well be in order and a advanced timing change, the Z68 mobos were seldom tuned for 32 GB and those were the 2 primary missing factors....If they do test OK, let us know the model of the DRAM and if it was a single 4 stick package or 2 stick packages
