Hello, I am new to the forum and this is my first post. If this is the wrong place to ask then tell me.:

I am wondering if this build is bottlenecked by anything:

CPU: AMD FX-4100 3.6 GHz

Motherboard: Doesn't matter ATM.Not overclocking. unless someone convinces me.

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 660 Ti
(Probably not overclocking?)

RAM: 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz

Storage: 1 TB SATA 3 7200 RPM

OS: Windows 7 HP

Optical Drive: 24X LITE-ON DVD drive

Basicallwhat this computer can do. I want to play games like BF3 and MMO's like League of Legends and stuff like that, so I want to know what kind of settings i want to run the games at for optimal performance. I am not looking for nice graphics, but more on FPS, but with a balance.

Thanks in advance.

This is not true. An hd7850 will not max games at 1080p. I have an hd7870 and it struggles with some games at ultra settings.

Are you talking about 60fps steady? If so, your card will not run modern games at Ultra at 1080p.

Here is a benchmark for the 7850. As you can see it will not max: Total War, Sleeping Dogs, of course Crysis, Far Cry 3, or BF3.

You must have your facts wrong. It it very well known that an hd7870 is needed to max most games and an hd7950 is the minimum card to max *all* games.

All 60fps at 1080p

Have you played Metro 2033 on your PC? I can't max out that game with a 660, at least not at 60fps, so imagine Metro: Last Night. It will max out most, but not all games around.

Metro 2033 is perfectly fine on my PC, never did Last Night. And as far as Far Cry 3, I for whatever reason, never have a problem with it. BF3 runs smooth as silk for 95% of the game, there is a few scenes where it likes to drop a tad bit but it is not unplayable.

That's nice then. For my purposes I am very new to PC Gaming but I am focused more on FPS than graphics. I want to run all games i want to play at around 50-80 FPS, so even if i turn down settings I'm not disappointed since my screen is only 20 inches.

Alright.. the PC i am buying hs these specs:

FX-8120 8-core @3.1 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 7850 2 GB
16 GB RAM 1600 MHz

What settings can I run the modern games at for good graphics but high FPS?

Ultra and High. I don't have Crysis 3 but I guess you can run it on high settings.
