So I am looking to build a computer around the i7 3930k. I am not sure what motherboard to get, but I am leaning towards either of these options

Now I am not sure exactly, but I heard a long time back that Asus did not support Nvidia anymore, and I am wondering if these motherboards will work with my Nvidia GPU?

More about : motherboard good option

Any manufacturer's board with PCIe x16 slots will support either Nvidia or Radeon single cards. Special support is only indicated for SLI or Crossfire.

Yes, up to 4 way SLI on the Rampage, it also can take up to 64GB or 2400 RAM (about the only one that can)

What are you planning to do with it, BTW? That CPU is only needed for a few very demanding tasks, and those are pretty expensive boards too.

It's on the expensive side but is good for basically anything...and....it runs quad channel DRAM....if one want true power, this is it

Thanks for the response. I game a lot, and I am looking for a CPU to run me another 4 years (which is what my current one is running for) and games are now beginning to utilize more cores and because I will be running this for another 4 years, I don't want to fall behind just based on cores. I also anticipate more cores being used because of the whole next gen console group using more than 4 cores. As those companies start using all those cores (which they will to keep up performance in the next few years) I see computer games heading the same direction. I just don't want to be behind in the next 2 years because I did not look into the future too.

I know the i5's are great for gaming, as gaming is not great with hyperthreading yet. But I want a new CPU to last me another 4 years. As long as I can run my nvidia card on this MB, I am happy :D . Again, thanks for the help :D

These are great, a lady I know and occasionally do work for has two of them with the X series CPUs and maxed out on DRAM, when I evaluate simulation software for her or have a need to use one, she lets me borrow one or just use it there.
