There is many gtx 780 variants and I honestly can't decide which one is the best to purchase. Money is not a problem, but I think I will go with the gigabyte version, what do you guys think?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125464&nm_mc=OTC-RSS&cm_sp=OTC-RSS-_-Desktop%20Graphics%20Cards-_-GIGABYTE-_-N82E16814125464

Also I am running a i7 920 at 4.2 Ghz will the GPU bottleneck a lot? I don't think it's worth the upgrade to a haswell as people are complaining on the heating and OC problems, and I might as well upgrade my gpu now and wait for the broadwell/maxwell series.

Thanks

Let me know your thoughts

I bought the evga superclocked GTX780 with the titan blower style cooler.

I am much impressed. The cooler is silent, and gets the heat directly out of my case.
Coolers like the gigabyte do a good job of cooling, but they dump heat back into the case.
From a performance point of view, all the GTX780 cards perform about the same. It takes a benchmark to differentiate.

There seem to be many i7-920 upgraders to haswell on the newegg feedbacks. They all seem pleased. If you were considering an upgrade from ivy bridge, or perhaps sandy bridge, then it would not be worth it.
Haswell runs cool untill you apply high voltages. There seems to be a large variance in OC capability from chip to chip. You may, or may not get lucky. What all do like is the Z87 chipset and what it brings.

I don't know about silent. Even at stock clocks and at 85C I would not describe it like that.

EVGA Geforce GTX 780 SC ACX-Cooler 3072MB GDDR5

This one costs 20$ more than the one you posted above is it any better?

So is the gigabyte better or yours?

I really can't decide and what is the difference between the 2 models of the EVGA

@cookybiscuit is 85º stable or overheated? Is it not silent?

The aftermarket coolers are unquestionably better, though the gap isn't as big as it normally is between aftermarket and reference designs as the reference one is exceptionally well designed and utilizes a vapour chamber. I'm using the Zotac reference one, its not close to silent but not at all obtrusive, I run it at 1200Mhz too. 85C is fine, Nvidia just says to keep it under 90C.

The difference between the two reference EVGA ones is nothing, buy the cheaper one. The third one with a different looking cooler will run cooler and quieter.

Ok thanks!

Now I have realized that there is also GTX titan/GTX 690/AMD 7990

You think I would be better of going with the gtx 780 and buying a second one into sli if I need it later?

I do tons of rendering and gaming in high settings.

Whats the optimal choice right now?

Money is not a problem.

Okay thanks!

Your answer really helped!

But should I go with the gigabyte? Zotac? Or evga?

I just hope I get a silent and super overclocked one so I do not have to self customize it

Thanks

Can you link me a video of the lighting or the model so I can see if it's really worth it?

I have a CM storm stryker case

Inno3D Geforce GTX 780 HerculeZ 2000 3072MB GDDR5

This one has the highest clock how does it look?

Don't buy ever based on clock, you can up it yourself in 2 seconds and is entirely theoretical with 780's. Buy based on cooler. A 780 with a good cooler will clock itself much higher because the cooler will be able to keep itself at the target temperature of 80C at a higher clock (more heat) than the reference cards can.

Your answers really are helpful, cause I do not understand a lot, but I still can't decide! Please pick for me based on cooling and performance.

As I said money is not the issue, I just want to know which one will give me highest performance in terms of OC and noise.

Thanks

How about this one? People are saying it is the quietest

I also appreciate small details like the lightining.

I will pick you as best answer :)

UPDATE

Im very interested in the EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Hydro Copper

How will I set it up though?

Does everything come in the box ready to be built? Or do I have to buy separate components for the water cooling?

If so what do I need to buy? Link me if I have to buy separate

Thanks!
