So after a long debate I've decided to not upgrade my ram as i planned and go for an new graphics card. I really want to get the 7870 (The microcenter near ;me is having a sale :D) but I don't know how to go from a GTX 550 Ti to a Radeon HD 7870. What is the process? Do I delete drivers or do I just swap them out and cross my fingers in hope that it works?
The only thing I've ever changed in a PC really is going from a GT 620 to the GTX 550 Ti, I have no expereience going cross company.

Solution
Uninstall the drivers, not using driver sweeper or any of that crap. Slap your new card in, download the new drivers, done.

If you can, go for the LE 7870, its a 7950 in disguise, and as such it is much faster than a standard 7870 for a similar price.

Thanks :D I'm just getting the 7870 because it fits my budget perfectly, with some left over to get a new headset.
