hello all I am new to this forum. I am having a problem with my computer let me detail my specs for you I have a GA-990fxa ud3 MOBO Rev1.1 I have the AMD 8150 Black box edition 32 gigs of ram Corsair Vengenance (4x8) Force3D Radeon HD5450 2GB Video Card Thermaltake Chaser Mk-1 Case with a Seimon 240MM Liquid Cooled CPU Cooler Saitek Cyborg Keyboard R.A.T 5 mouse 2 200MM fans one on front for intake and one on side panel for intake 1 140 mm fan on exhaust in rear of case. and a Thermaltake TR2 RX 750w Modular PSU Operating system is Windows 7 professional.Whew ok now to the problem I just recently transfered the system to the Thermaltake case from a Cooler Master Elite 430 Mid Tower Case and changed out the stock cooler that came with the CPU to the Liquid Cooled System. On 6/14/13 I believe there was a short to the case as there is a metal screw that sticks out the bottom of the mobo this screw belongs to the floating cover on the mobo for a chipset I think so to solve that problem I put a small piece of electrical tape over it to ensure it didnt make contact with the case and if it did it wouldnt matter as the tape insulates it. The computer started up fine on 6/16/13 once the transfers were complete and then when i got it home and hooked it up on my desk it started it up but then shut down unexpectedly and now will not power up at all

Have you tried opening up the case, and making sure that the electrical tape is still applied on there all the way, also push in the wires to make sure everything is plugged in all the way. Make sure to unplug everything as well.

I did check the tape after I posted and it is still in place to the best of my knowledge as I would have to remove the MOBO to check it, all wires are seated correctly I did unplug all and plug it back in, and it still wouldnt start...I let it sit for a while and still nothing however I did notice that the integrated fan controller on the case is not working <I have a ticket in with Thermaltake on this issue> hopefully that will get resolved soon, so I unplugged the intake fan on the front of the case from the controller and plugged it directly into the MOBO and unplugged the fan on the side panel as it is not really designed for that anyway and removed it from the case so now I have one 200 MM intake fan on the front with a 140MM exhaust fan on the rear of the case and the two 120 MM fans attached to the radiator of the Liquid cooling system, anyway I am rambling sorry, but the computer has started back up after I let it sit for about 20 minutes and it seems to be working fine now <after I plugged the intake into the board> so maybe it was a heat issue? but I do appreciate the quick response and willingness to help. I will update later if there is another problem
