Hello!

Lately my pc is getting stuck at bios screen for a period of 3-4 minutes and only then starts normally.
I'm also having atleast 1 blue screen of death phenomenon per day, usually just while browsing the web but also the pc may get stuck when i play.
This is becoming increasingly frustrating and i'd appreciate any help!

Pc specs:
Windows 7
MB : Gigabyte Ga-ep35-ds3r
Cpu : core 2 duo E6600
Gpu : Gtx 550 Ti

Thanks in advance!

im betting hardware is bad. best bet is the ram. as it will normally only create a problem when the bad spot is used. which could be while doing something mundane like searching the web. there are hundreds of ram checking programs out there.
heres a few to get you started. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/tp/memory...

less likely its something else but still quite likely. hopefully it isn't the mobo since windows 7 locks your key to that model. so if you were to replace the mobo it would have to be with that exact same model number.

possibly the gpu but not very likely since its dying in 2d apps. the part of a gpu that handles 2d is rarely stressed enough to be damaged. you kinda have to intentionally torture it to stress that at all (benchmarks).

im 99.99% sure its not the cpu. when those have problems they are big or easily repeatable.

this is just off the top of my head, there are better guides here on Toms forums that covers much more.

Thank you for replying, i have checked the ram and it says all is fine.
Any way to see if it is the mobo's last breaths?
