Hi guys,

Would really appreciate any tips/advice on the below system I'm thinking to put together this week. It will mostly be used for gaming, but will also be a HTPC. Note - I already have an SSD/HD for storage and spare DVD drive:

This PSU will be better for your build and pushes it up to just around the £900 mark.

This power supply is not only made of higher quality parts than the Builder Series by Corsair, but is also modular which will be better for your case, as it is a rather small one. 8GB is also usually plenty of ram for gaming etc. Otherwise, looks like a very solid build.

This one will be better for gaming and has enough muscle to serve as a HTPC too -

Slight changes like less capacity but better RAM , Better Motherboard , A water cooler for the CPU and a better quality and windowed case.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've added the suggested power supply, motherboard and RAM. I'm a bit cautious on replacing the CPU fan as I've heard horror stories of water leaks from that one in particular. I've also stuck with a slightly more basic case - I don't need a window as the PC is likely to not be on display:
